DRESS AND PERSONAL APPEARANCE

Camper dress and appearance is usually a concern of campers and parents. The Rodeo Bible Camp staff also has the responsibility to help develop values that contribute to good taste in matters of dress and appearance. Modesty is the key guideline. Camper dress and grooming will be the responsibility of the individual and parent/ guardian, within the following guidelines:

  1. Tank tops, spaghetti strap tops, crop tops or see-through tops are not allowed. Campers may wear sleeveless shirts that extend to the edge of the shoulder and do not reveal undergarments (Appropriate undergarments MUST be worn at all times). Cut off shirts with low-cut armpits are not allowed.

  2. Clothing that shows bare midriffs are not to be worn. Shirts must cover the mid-section at all times. Shirts that expose cleavage will not be allowed.

  3. Acceptable length for shorts is thumb length or longer when the arm is extended straight down at the side. Clothing shorter than thumb length will not be allowed. Pants must be worn above the hips with no underwear or mid-section showing. No holes in pants above the knee will be allowed.

  4. Printed wording or pictures on clothing that is advertising, promoting or depicting drugs and/or alcohol, or that is obscene or profane in interpretation, or has content that is inappropriate for camp will not be permitted to be worn. Shirts containing any print or image that is derogatory or disrespectful to any race or ethnic group will be prohibited.

  5. A dark T-shirt must be worn when participating in water games for both safety and modesty.

  6. Appropriate footwear, such as tennis shoes, boots, or sandals, must be worn at all times.

  7. Additional dress regulations may be imposed upon campers participating in certain events (i.e., trick riding).

When, in the judgment of the staff, a camper’s appearance or mode of dress is disruptive or constitutes a threat to health or safety, the camper may be required to make modifications.
